Australian wool
A natural Australian fibre used in selected layers of our handmade mattresses.
Glen Mattress began in South Australia in 1935 with a simple belief: a mattress should be made for the person who sleeps on it. That belief still guides us today.
After a period in Melbourne, Glen Mattress has returned to South Australia. Our work continues with the same focus: make each mattress by hand and tailor the feel to the sleeper.
Glue and foam are both left out of every mattress we make. We also use no latex. Our hand-built mattresses use carefully chosen natural materials, including Australian wool, horsehair, cotton and linen.
Talk with Glen MattressAustralian wool, horsehair, cotton and linen each bring their own character to a mattress. Materials and layers are selected for each design; we will confirm the exact specification with you before an order is placed.

People have different body shapes, comfort preferences and support needs. We start by listening—whether you are choosing a mattress for home, a special size or an accommodation project.
From there, we discuss the feel, materials and construction that suit your brief. Each mattress is made by hand, with care given to the details that shape its comfort.
Every Glen mattress is built without glue or foam, and we do not use latex. We make each one by hand in South Australia with natural materials, confirming the exact layers for each design.
